Abstract:

Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), formerly known as Active Directory Directory Services, is the central location for configuration information, authentication requests, and information about all of the objects that are stored within your forest. Using Active Directory, you can efficiently manage users, computers, groups, printers, applications, and other directory-enabled objects from one secure, centralized location. Let's explore further with the following topics:

  • Designing a Forest infra
  • Designing a Domain Infra
  • Setting up AD
  • Tools to administer AD

Windows Server 2008 & Windows Vista Service Pack 2

Microsoft has launch Service pack 2 to TechNet and MSDN subscriber on 22 May and public on 27 May. At the moment, SP2 are available in five language: English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. Visit the link below for more information.

Windows 7 Beta Bi-hourly shutdown

Windows 7 Beta testers please note. Windows 7 Beta will start shutting down bi-hourly on 1st July 2009. You have a month’s time to start getting Windows 7 RC or revert back to your pervious OS before it irritates you

Windows 7 Release Candidate

The day we have been waiting has finally arrival. Microsoft has make Windows 7 Release Candidate available for download in TechNet and MSDN @ 30 April and to public on 5 May. Click here to get to the public download site. If you have been using the Beta version for the past few month, it’s time to get your data backup and get Windows 7 RC in and running.
