    GPO edit C$ share

    Currently, all the users system had c$ share enable by default. Is this done by our company GPO or winxp default is enable? , where can I edit under GPO  and configure not to enable the c$ share.

    Hi  Cedric,

    those are known as administrative shares. Lets an administrator facilitates a host of action and make administration simple.
    If its bothering you, you can follow this to remove the shares. If you disable them, and reboot, the shares will come back. You'll need to following the guide below to disable it.
