Happy New Year
Cheers of party-goers welcoming the New Year, it certainly is good to know that people around me are still awake and the night is still young. Well, instead of partying, I chose to sit down, enjoy those distractions and write you this very first newsletter that reaches your inbox. ;-)
In the month of December 08, I had the opportunity to catch up with many of you during the TechNet seminar and the HEROs Party at Ministry of Sound. It was certainly very nice to see many of you there and popping over to say hi. The party and the events were certainly for all of you IT Heros.
During December, on 3 Saturdays, more than 24 of you turned up for a Windows 2008 Hands on Lab. I want to extend a very big thank you for helping me test the lab instructions that I have put together. Thank you very much. With the last run, everything is smooth and the lab guides are now in a format that is worthy of sharing.
There have been many great interests around Windows Server 2008, I certainly think you would be. If there is something you like to learn about Windows 2008, please feel free to let me know.
That’s all for me this month. Happy New Year!!
Cheers,
Dennis Chung

Windows Server 2008 Hands on Lab Instructions
With the help of attendees in Dec’s Windows Server 2008 hands on lab session, the steps are more or less accurate and error free. The responses to attend the HOL were overwhelming. I have people on waiting list till date and I’m sorry, the initial sessions are over. However, I am looking to secure resources to conduct the HOL again if possible.
I want to say a big thank you to those who attended, we have managed to complete the Lab manuals. Please visit this link to download the document.
