Problem regarding DCPROMO - replicating process without ending

I have 4 server, this server are not setup by me and it was facing problem when our vendor support try to troubleshoot.

Server1  (Proxy server) DC - but fail to communicate with other.

    Server2  (Proxy server) DC

    Server3  (Exchange 2003) DC

Server4 (Exchange 2007) Going to become DC, problem replicating without ending, unable enter window logon screen. (Trying stop the process DCPROMO)

Server 1 fail to communicate with server 2 and 3.

My vendor have dcpromo server 4 but fail to run the dcpromo process successfully.

Because everytime the server 4 start, it keeps replicating process without ending. (This should be cause by fail to replicating with server1, he even try to force delete server 1 but failed.)

We even try to stop it under safe mode but failed.

Anyone know anyway to stop the dcpromo process? Which we are going to abandoned this dc promo process.

Thanks and your help is appreciated.

Hi Dude, sorry for the late reply. Busy for server wave launch preparations.

So you're getting problem completing the dcpromo??
Is Server 4 and Server 1 on the same site?
What are the FSMO roles on Server 1, 2 and 3.

And what you mean by Proxy Server?

    /Dennis

Re: Problem regarding DCPROMO - replicating process without ending

Oh, sorry i did not explain in clear, The proxy server i meaning on was ISA server 2006.

But anyway, we have trying to resolved this and even escalated to Microsoft support with creating a new case, but on the final.

We are recommended to re-installation the exchange server 2007 and force remove the DC from ISA server and all process working fine afterwards, Previously the network schema are too messy and we perform some housekeeping.

Sorry for late update - case closed.
