TIKTok is a social media platform that allows people to create and share videos with their friends. It’s a mainstay on the app store, but it has its fair share of controversies. One major issue with TIKTok is content review. On October 17th, 2018, TikTok introduced a policy which allowed them to use algorithms to weed out inappropriate content from public view. This has led to many people’s videos being under review even if they are perfectly acceptable for public viewing. Fortunately there are ways to get your videos back on the app!
What is a video review?
A video review is when a user’s video is reviewed by TikTok. The purpose of the review is to make sure that their content doesn’t violate the company’s policies, which are outlined in their community guidelines. These violations could include things like sexual content, violence, hate speech, drug use, and more.
In order to avoid this issue, it’s important to check what type of content you’re posting before you upload it. In general, TIKTok will only reject videos if they contain graphic or violent material, or if your account appears to be spamming other users’ accounts.
If your video has been rejected by TikTok for any reason, one solution would be to appeal the decision and re-upload your video with a different title and tags. What’s more, you can also wait for an auto-approval from TikTok during the review process so that you don’t have to waste time waiting for individual reviews on each of your videos individually.
How do you know if your video is under review?
If your video is under review, TikTok will show you a screen that looks like this:
On the right side of the screen, you’ll find a small icon. Tap it to see what’s wrong with your video before submitting it. You’ll be able to see that your video was flagged for inappropriate content, but you can also provide feedback as to why it’s not inappropriate. Good luck!
Getting your video back on TIKTok
First of all, you will need to know the reason for your video being removed. If it was due to inappropriate content, then you will have to submit a report and make sure that the company is making a good faith effort to restore your videos.
If it was due to a copyright violation, then you will need to submit evidence of your ownership. You can find more information on how to do this by clicking here.
If your video was removed because it violated TIKTok’s terms of service, then you’ll need to submit an appeal explaining why your video is not in breach of their terms of service. You’ll also be required to provide proof that the video has been removed from public view.
Once you’ve submitted all these things, you’ll be able to create a new account and get back on the app with no problem!
What to consider when uploading your next video.
Before you post your video, consider the following:
Your video should be as close to 10 minutes as possible. Posting a shorter video will have less of an effect on your audience.
It’s important that your video not be too graphic or controversial. This is because TikTok has algorithms in place which can filter out certain content that falls under their policy.
You need to make sure that your video isn’t overly sexual or violent in nature. Videos with these characteristics are likely to be removed by the algorithm and may lead to you losing access to the app.
You need to make sure that you’re not posting copyrighted content in your video. This is a major concern for many people, as they don’t want their work to be shared without their permission.
Make sure that your video doesn’t violate the TIKTok terms of service. If it does, then it will be removed from public view and you will lose access to the app.
How to edit your video after it’s been uploaded.
When you upload a video, it’s automatically set to private by default. To view the video, you’ll need to log in using your email address and password (if you’ve forgotten them, click here). When viewing your videos, you’ll see a small icon next to each one: click on this icon and select “Edit”. You can then edit any part of the video or add more music or filters! For more information on how this works, visit this page.
How to start a live video.
To start a live video, you’ll need to make sure that you’re logged in to your account. Then simply click on the icon next to the video that you want to live stream and select “Start Live”. You can also select “Edit” from the same icon and then click on “Live Stream” from the drop-down menu.
What when I get my first notification about copyright violation?
If you receive a notification about copyright violation, it’s important that you respond immediately. This is because the TIKTok system will automatically suspend your account if it’s not responded to within 24 hours. If this happens, then look for more information here!
How to remove yourself from an active group chat.
To end a group chat, simply click on the group name in the chat list and then select “Group Settings”. To remove yourself from an active group, click on “Remove Me” next to your name. This will remove you from all groups where you are a member of but will not delete your messages or videos in any of these groups! The only way that this would happen is if they were sent as private messages or posted by someone else; however, if your account is suspended you will no longer be able to access these groups.
